Detailed itinerary for 14 days Ultimate Uganda Safari
Day 1: Transfer to booked accommodations
Upon your arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be welcomed by your tour guide/driver who will transfer you to your booked hotel in Kampala for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Travel to Murchison falls National Park
After your breakfast, set out to Murchison falls National Park with a stop at Ziwa Rhino sanctuary to track Rhinos and search for the loveliest and rare shoe-billed stork. After lunch, proceed to Murchison Falls National Park. You will drive to the top of the falls to get a perfect view of the world’s most powerful falls and take plenty of pictures. Continue to your booked safari lodge to check in for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Morning Game drive and boat cruise on the River Nile
You will have an early morning breakfast and set out for a morning game drive to get a chance to view the various wild game of Murchison falls National Park as they wake up to the rise of the beautiful morning sun. Return to the lodge and get some time to relax before lunch and later set out for an afternoon boat cruise on the Victoria Nile to the bottom of the falls. This boat cruise provides a great opportunity to see lots of hippos, Nile crocodiles and aquatic birds. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Transfer from Murchison Falls to Kibale Forest National Park
Have breakfast and after transfer from Murchison Falls National Park drive Southwest through the Albertine Escarpment of the great Western Rift Valley. Drive through Hoima and reach the colourful and beautiful town of Fort Portal, the capital of the Toro kingdom, situated in the shadow of the fabled “Mountains of the Moon,” the Rwenzori. The evening takes Bigodi nature walk to spot a variety of birds like the loveliest and rare stork shoebill, white and black Columbus, vervet monkey and much more. Dinner and overnight at

Day 5: Chimpanzee tracking Kibale Forest National Park
Wake up to a delicious warm breakfast and drive to the park headquarters for the briefing before you head out into the forest in search of the man’s closest relative chimpanzees. Return to the lodge for lunch and later set out to Lake Nkuruba to explore the crater lakes. Dinner and overnight.
Day 6: Transfer from Kibale forest to Semliki National Park
Check out the safari lodge after breakfast and transfer to Semliki National Park to view the Sempaya hot springs. After lunch, you will have a cultural experience with the Batwa pygmies, indigenous to the Ituri forest of Congo. From your adventurous time in this beautiful park, you will transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park and check into your safari lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 7: Queen Elizabeth National Park, Game drive and Boat cruise.
Wake up to an early morning game drive after your breakfast, this will be a good chance for great game viewing in Queen Elizabeth Park as most animals tend to be more active this time of day. Return to the lodge for some time of relaxation before lunch and later set out for an afternoon boat cruise on the Kazinga channel, a great opportunity to view the aquatic wild like hippos, Nile Crocodiles and other animals that may be at the shores quenching their thirst, not to mention the magical prolific birdlife that exists here. Return to the lodge for your dinner and overnight.
Day 8: KYAMBURA GORGE AND CRATER LAKES
After breakfast, you will have a fun chimpanzee tracking experience at Kyambura Gorge. Return to the lodge and after lunch, you will set out to explore the crater lakes and the beautiful scenery of this amazing place. Dinner and overnight
Day 9: Transfer from Ishasha Sector to Bwindi impenetrable Forest National Park
After breakfast, you will transfer to Bwindi impenetrable forest National Park driving through the Ishasha sector of the park for a chance of viewing the tree climbing lions that can only be found here. Continue with your journey to Bwindi after. Upon your arrival, you will check into your safari lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 10: Mountains gorilla tracking Bwindi
After breakfast, you will have a short briefing at the park headquarters after which you will set out into the Bwindi forest to find the gentle giants who you will get to view, observe and take pictures for a maximum of one hour. Return to the lodge for a drink/snacks before setting out for a cultural encounter with the Batwa people, an indigenous of Ituri forest, Congo. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 11: Transfer from Bwindi forest to Lake Bunyonyi
After breakfast and checking out of your safari lodge, we will drive to Uganda’s deepest lake, Lake Bunyonyi. Upon arrival, you will check into your booked safari lodge and have lunch. Later in the afternoon, you will get a Canoeing experience on the very waters of this lake. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 12: Transfer from Lake Bunyonyi to Lake Mburo National Park
Check out of the safari lodge after breakfast and drive to Lake Mburo National Park. Check into your booked safari lodge, have lunch and after set out for an afternoon boat ride along the Lake to spot aquatic wildlife and different bird species. You will have an evening game drive to get a chance to view the different species of antelopes in this park as well as Zebras. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 13: Morning Game drive in Lake Mburo National Park then Kampala
After breakfast, check out of the safari lodge and begin your drive to Kampala with a stopover at the Equator where you will have an opportunity to stand in 2 hemispheres at the same time and take photos, have lunch here as well as get an opportunity of buying little souvenirs to take with you back home and gifts for family and friends. You will continue to Kampala to be dropped off at your preferred location.
Day 14: Departure
Depending on the departure time, you can have a city tour of Kampala and lunch before transferring to the airport to catch your flight back home. End of your Ultimate Uganda Safari
